December 2003

Thursday 11th
So for those of you who don't believe I have the cooking skills (thanks for the sarky comments) here's a picture of my fantastic turkey from last weekend.

Friday 12th
School's Out For Christmas... Yipeeee. Booked a rental car for my trip home today. Hertz.

Sunday 14th
My bags are packed (almost) and I'm ready to go. Unfortunately it's only 8:30am and my flight's not till 2:45am so I have a long wait. See you soon.

Wednesday 17th
Aha, they have free Internat access in Birmingham Central library so I'm checking in. The security guards are chasing some down and out up and down the escalators but apart from that it's quite peaceful here.

If Nick's reading this... I have got the four tickets for Steve Nallon tomorrow evening. See you at 7pm by the big wheel (Birmingham Eye?)

Thursday 4th
At last I have confirmed my flight home (on Emirates via Dubai). I'll arrive home on the 15th. Unfortunately the return flight includes an eight hour stopover in Dubai Airport (midnight to 8am).... not very good but I'll survive.

Tomorrow's the King's Birthday, a national holiday in Thailand.

Monday 8th
I had lunch with the new British Ambassador to Thailand today (well, me and 30 other people). I only managed to say two words to him, "Hello" and "Goodbye".

Monday 8th
(From Mark)

What happens when you have

1) nothing to do

2) a sharp knife

3) a large lime

4) a patient cat

5) too much tequila

6) and it's football season?

Tuesday 9th
Gout in the left elbow. A good start to the Christmas season eh?

Last Sunday I cooked Christmas dinner for visitors, this week I'm living off cold turkey (and it's only 9th!)
