December 2004

Friday 3rd
At last I have been invited to have one of the new gmail accounts that Google are trialing. It's a really nice interface and I think I will start using it as my main email account. I don't want to put my new email address here on this web page because it'll soon be picked up by those spam bots so I'll tell you what it is in another way. It starte off with the number 4 (a figure not a word) then my first amd last name together, with no space between them. Then the @gmail.com bit. Send me a message if you can follow that.

Saturday 4th
The first of two long weekends. Spent the morning doing house-bound type stuff then faced the Christmas shopping crowds in the afternoon. Nothing to write home about.

Sunday 5th
With this new broadband connection I'm surfing to sites previously useless to me. Each day I can have a different radio station from somewhere in the world linked in through the stereo.
Couldn't beleive this one... a radio station devoted to Christmas, playing Christmas music 365 days a year, wow.

Christmas Radio

Monday 6th
A day's holiday due to the King's Birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday.

Tuesday 7th
So where should I buy an iPod. They're cheaper in the UK than here in Thailand but latest reports are that you can't get them in the UK due to the Christmas rush. Is that true?

Wednesday 8th
It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it!

Thursday 9th
Denis and Janet Evans coming out in February on their way back from Australia. Unfortunately it's half term week so I'll probably be off on my travels.

Friday 10th
Booked a train ticket online for my trip from Euston to Wolves ... cost only nine quid. Fantastic.

Saturday 11th
Another long weekend, this time due to constitution day (I think). Only two days of school left till the hols.

Wednesday 15th
Well here I am at Bangkok Airport ready to fly home for Christmas. Another year over. When I checked in I was told that the Thai Princess is on my flight. That might sound exciting but will probably mean delays getting on and off the plane so I'm not too thrilled.I'm sweating at the moment carrying a bag with all the woollies I'll need to put on as soon as I land. Out of the frying pan into the fridge I guess. Ah well time for a couple of drinks before I board so I'll sign off now.
Thursday 16th
Well who thought I'd be typing again so soon. Have just landed (8am) but can't check into the hotel I'm staying at in London till 2pm so am keeping warm in a cybercafe. London looks very grey and dismal this morning but people quite friendly (in this strange land).

Train to Wolverhampton tomorrow.
Wednesday 1st
The Christmas month at last. Lots of holidays and presents! Coming home for Christmas on 16th so get the mince pies ready.
