A retired teacher created this painting from memory, showing the first time calculators were used in her primary maths lessons in the early 1980s. Using your calculator, work out the value of the expression on the board to three significant figures.
2. | GCSE Higher [534] |
Work out the value of the following giving your answer to three significant figures:
$$ \sqrt{ \frac{7.3^2 + 42.3}{1.04 \times \tan(27°)} } $$If you would like space on the right of the question to write out the solution try this Thinning Feature. It will collapse the text into the left half of your screen but large diagrams will remain unchanged.
