It Is A Knockout At Benton House

31st May

On May 27th we went to Benton House to play with the children because we enjoyed it so much when we went at Christmas. We went inside and blew up some balloons for a game we were to play after. All in a very firm house had a birthday and was 16 years old. One of his presents was a broken foot, but it didn't bother him. The first game was Tug O' War. It was the Scouts against the Benton House team and they won both games with a little help off all the Ventures and Bosun.

Our second game was Dizzy Marbles. For this there was four teams of eight and we had to place our hands on a stick, place our heads on our hands and spin around ten times and then run to a container a few yards away. The last person had to fetch a big marble.

Our last game was called Mop The Cup. The aim was to get some water into a container over the other side of the grass, but in the middle was Bosun, No. 1 and Squish knocking the cups out of our hands. And guess who won? The Benton House team again.

The Scouts and finally a game before we went indoors was Chair Shuttle. We had to get from one side of the grass to the other on chairs. The Benton team cheated and we weren't disqualified and they won.

When we went inside we played our last game. It was called Canoe Hat Bursting. We had two games of it and then we done the best thing that evening, which was supper. Then we had a sing song and then all went home. Altogether it was an enjoyable evening. By Gary Williams.
