  • Matching the fractions is the easy part. Joining them without crossing the lines is really quite hard but such a rewarding experience when achieved. It is one of those activities that "...stimulate moments of pleasure and wonder for all pupils when they solve a problem for the first time". Of course the teacher might be keen to point pupils in the general direction of finding the solution for themselves, that's good teaching.

  • My year 4 class solved this really quickly. Mandy Junior said " Hatdo helped me solve this". Hatdo said" I feel really epic for solving such a difficult problem so quickly".
