This activity provides a little bit of fun injected into the process of learning the basic shapes of simple algebraic graphs. This page is designed to be projected on a screen or board in front of a class.
Students should be encouraged to stand up and make the shapes of the graphs with their arms. The mirror is there to check what their reflection should look like.
Each time the 'Change Graph' button is pressed another equation will appear. There are different graphs in the list and when these have all appeared once, clicking the button selects one of these again at random.
A similar idea is shown in the video Human Graph Shapes.
Human Venn Diagram Human Scatter Graph People Maths Shine + Write Transum MathematicsThis is a visual aid designed to be projected onto a whiteboard for whole class exposition. It does not need to be an interactive whiteboard though of course that will make the resource more dynamic. The title "Shine+Write" suggests that the teacher or student can write on the whiteboard to enhance this visual aid.

"This could be played as a game with the whole class standing up to start the game. Whoever makes a mistake or is last to make the correct graph shape sits down. The last player left standing is the winner."
