After each patrol had taken part in all of the events we had the final competition called "The Electric Fence", and this involved getting each member of the patrol over a rope which was strung between two trees 2m off the ground. I might add that the only successful competitors were No. 1 and Bosun, as they managed to throw Charlie Farley over the rope. Splat!

After the evening meal the older Scouts had to play the younger ones at a game of rounders. We then had flag down, more warm up exercises and then a talk by R. Bood on the rules and regulation of athletics. It was then campfire time, and we were joined by a group of Scouts from Codsall. After this had finished we had supper and went to bed.

Sunday morning woken out of deep sleep by No. 1, time for early morning cross country run, which ended up as a walk for some of us. We all enjoyed a good breakfast and got ready for inspection and a few more exercises. Promptly at 10:00 the next stage of Albright Bridge started. No. 1 was in charge of the discus, R. Bood the long jump, Neal Q the 400m, Bosun the shot.

By the time 11:30 rolled round it was time for the Scouts' Own. No. 1 told us all about the Easter story. This lasted about half an hour. We were then ready for lunch. Then lunch was finished and we went to the top of the hill, where we tried to fly kites, did some rock climbing and abseiling as well.

After the evening meal we had high jump and even more exercises and another kit inspection. The patrols then had a pioneering competition, which involved running around a circuit with rucksacks on their backs. At 8:30 there was a wide game, one group of Scouts being cannibals and trying to catch the other group. Monday morning we were woken at 8:00 and had breakfast. After flag down and results of the patrol competition, we packed.
