3 Day Wrekin Camp, Easter 81

Camp Leaders: No. 1, Bosun and Neal Quinton.

PLs: R. Bood, A. Adey and A. Denner. Scouts: S. Terry, S. Hatchely, A. Key, I. Ellis, R. Cunningham, P. Smith, S. Farley, D. Ashton and P. Cheese.

Saturday 8:30. Everyone met at the Scout Hut and were loaded, and Scouts were instructed where to assemble. By 9:00 we departed for the camp site. Bosun was leading the way.

9:45 arrived safely at site, cars unloaded and patrol sites picked. After a brief disagreement between R. Bood and A. Denner, we then proceeded to pitch our tents and dig our dinner shelters and place all equipment and kit into its proper place. By the time we had finished this it was lunch time, so we ate our packed lunches which we had taken with us. Afterwards we had flag break and then a few more exercises to get us prepared for the afternoon's activities. We then had kit inspection.

At 1:00 we were told all about the rules of the wide game. While this was going on R. Bood set off to go on flour chase and a few minutes later we set off following the trail. The eventual winners of the race were Paul Smith, Andrew Key and myself, who all came in equal first. We then proceeded with the A-Frame Bridge, with R. Bood taking charge of the running events. Bosun taking charge of the high jump and No. 1 taking charge of throwing the cricket ball.
