Saturday was the last day (Ah) we had our breakfast of bacon eggs and mushroom, our last inspection (including kit) and started taking down the camp. Yet again it was a beautiful day. The coach arrived at lunchtime and we repacked the van ready to leave at 3pm. At final divisions we announced:
“Announcements announcements announcements
What a terrible way to die
What a terrible way to die
What a terrible thing to be talked to death
What a terrible way to die
Announcements announcements announcements”
The results of the week’s patrol competition:
Redshank 125
Seagull 174
Kingfisher 117
Cormorant 108
Gannet 106
So Redshank win for the second year. Well done! Hard luck Seagull.
Steven Denton had made a collection for Adrian Jarvis with which he had bought a compass some books maps and sweets. On the way home we picked up Adrian from hospital and gave him his gifts, he showed us his two stitches which have now been taken out and kept rolled in a handkerchief in his pocket.
