Sunday
On Sunday we were the only Scouts in the camp. We did not have breakfast at 8:00; we had it at 9:00 because we were tired. After we had a shower we could be down by the American families that were staying with. We packed our clothes in our suitcases and put our rucksacks outside the lodge. We then were put into cars, which would take us to the barbecue. This was where we met our host families.
My host family were the Rien family. After the barbecue they took us back to their house. The houses were much different from our houses. They did not have any door downstairs and they had a little room down in the basement. Me and Peter went in the swimming pool. We then went to the supermarket. When we got home we watched the television a bit, then we went to bed.
Monday
On Monday morning we made our way down to a bay where Peter and his family owned a sailing boat. When we first got there we went to a Burger King. When we came out of the Burger King we went down to the boat, where we got it ready for sailing, but we did not go sailing. What we did was go down to the beach. First we went down to their other home to get some things, then went down to the beach.
When we got in the sea the waves were twice as big as the waves in England and twice as warm because it was a very hot day. When we had come away from the beach we went down to have our dinner at the lobster line. I had chicken and French fries. After the meal we went down to the marina and went crabbing. We caught about twenty crabs, but could only keep two of them because the others were too small. We had a great time and then slept on the boat.
