Friday

Friday was the last day of camp activities. All we did was finish off all our badges. That afternoon we had some crazy sports. We did welly throwing, the egg and the potatoes race, and other events. We did not go to town because the patron had to catch it. We walked across to Wellings and the grease water melon race. At the chicken barbecue we met some of our American friends' parents.

In the evening we had an award ceremony where we were given our badges, which had earned over the week. Paul Plaskett earned six awards and medals. Everyone got a merit badge, but Richard Tyler was the only one not to get a badge because he was ill most of the week. After the awards we had a camp fire.

Saturday

On Saturday we went to Great Adventure, which is a big amusement park. I went around with Stephen Brazier and Kevin, one of the staff. We went on lots of rides like the runaway train, which was like a rollercoaster. The lightning loops was dead scary. It was like a pendulum. We went on all the water rides. The roaring rapids was the best. You sat on a boat thing and went along a river which made big waves and they came over the boat. We got really wet.

There was a water flume where you went right under it. Also at Great Adventure there was a zoo full of animals. The rides were dead good. We went in the cinema 180, which was a film show where you thought you were on the biggest rollercoaster in the world. We went on a Buccaneer, which we called a pirate ship. For dinner we had French fries and cheeseburgers. We went on a Rotor, a ride where you stood in a cylinder which rotated and then dropped out, and you stuck to the wall.

We went on more rides. For dinner we had pizza. We went on the lightning loops again and the runaway train. At 10:00pm we met back by the coach and went back to camp.
