... to the conclusion that it was his and gave us his permission to camp there any time we wanted to. From there we went along the straight mile, past the tar factory and onto Brewood.
At Brewood we paid the Brewood Scout hut a visit, but it was empty so we went to the town centre and left our bikes at the library. The group then walked around Brewood to make up the story for the Americans, the ideas we had were Speedwell Castle, Forge cottage, Jubilee Tree and Three Stirrups.
From there we went to Liptons to buy some beef and vegetable stew and some biscuits. I bought some cows milk, it is much safer. We then rode along the canal to the caravan where we had tea and soup and eat our lunches. We spent about an hour and a half there talking etc.
We left the caravan at 3:30 hoping to go back to the farm where I was bitten to collect the pump I had dropped when I swung the bike around. Unfortunately the pump had dropped just inside the radius of the dog’s chain so we were all frightened to go in and collect it. But as we went through Coven Andy Bates acquired a puncture so me and Robert Bood stayed and helped him mend it while John took the rest of the group back home. Robert went and fetched some sweets and crisps and by the time John had returned in his mini we had mended the puncture.
We set off once more planning to meet John at the Anchor pub, Andy’s tyre must have had another puncture because his tyre went flat once more. But he decided he would be able to make it home on the bike. John followed us home they're doing a flat out 15 mph.
Nearing the end of our journey up Third Avenue John left us and Andy's tire went completely flat, he blew it up and made it back to the Scout hut where we had a cup of squash and ended our hike.

Altogether we lost one bicycle torch which bounced off the bike along the towpath and bounced into the canal, ruined our one map which flew into the canal while riding along the towpath, had one puncture, lost one pump, one person fell off his bike, one person got bitten and on the whole a very enjoyable day.
