Midnight hike
We started off at about 10 o'clock after the Scout meeting we started off in cars after being split up into two groups. We were dropped off into different places then we have to make our way to a hill where we let a rocket off then we all watched out for a rocket the leaders were setting off. We slid down the steep sides of the hill to follow where the rocket had come from. We finally got there where we met Number 1 and a canal. We were setting a rope up across the canal when the other team caught up then Adrian Goodall burnt his hand on a Tilly lamp. We all had to cross the canal on a rope. I was first and got to cross safely the first one to fall in was Stephen Hateley who got very wet then Adrian Goodall fell in and the last boy to fall for the second time lost a shoe then we followed a disused railway to where we had our supper then we played a wide game there was a flag stood up and we had to kidnap it without being caught.
For supper we had hot dogs and coffee and we set off along the road where we met an alsatian dog who followed us then we started walking across the canal then we came back off a road with the dog still following us we carried on along some more roads back to the Scout hut.
