Saturday continued. If you hit the Ventures with water they had to return to the hut, but if you missed they could run off. The game lasted about one hour and then we all returned to the hut and had supper, followed by bed.

Sunday 28th July. The programme included rise, wash and breakfast at 7:30am, flagbreak and inspection at 9:30am, the first activity session at 10:00am, lunch at 1:00pm, the second activity session at 2:00pm, evening meal at 5:00pm, team games at 7:00pm, flagdown, Scout's Own and tuck shop at 9:00pm, and shadowing with supper at 10:00pm.

At about 7:30am No.1 and Bosun came around the patrol sites being jolly, although it was raining, and woke us all up. We started cooking breakfast, which was cereals, bacon, eggs and baked beans. When we had finished washing up we started to tidy the site and some of the patrols tidied their patrol areas. At 9:30am we all walked to the flagpole for flagbreak. Gannet did the flag and the other patrol duties were: Kingfisher weather, Seagull boots, Mallard stores, Redshank toilets, Cormorant rubbish and Dunlin communications.

When we were properly fallen out we all ran back to our patrol sites to tidy them and to check whether our washing was done properly. Three groups of one leader and two Venture Scouts inspected us and gave us a mark out of 20, then paid us with Monopoly money for what we got.

After inspection it was time for activity session one. The activities included canoeing, site development, orienteering and Scoutcraft. At 1:00pm we had lunch, which was beefburgers and fruit. We had one hour for lunch, and at 2:00pm we had activity session two.
