Monday continued. After flagbreak we had inspection and then at around 10:00am it was the third activity session. The activities included orienteering, Scoutcraft, canoeing, site development and expedition work. At 1:00pm we had lunch, which consisted of a ploughman's lunch and cake.
After lunch it was the fourth activity session, with more Scoutcraft, canoeing, site development, orienteering and Venture activities. When the activity session had finished at about 5:00pm we had our evening meal of stew and dumpling and instant meal.
After we had finished washing up we all met around the flagpole at 7:00pm for flagdown. After flagdown the leader came around the patrol sites to judge the gadgets that we had made in site development. The leaders had a hard task to judge the best site because there were some good sites and gadgets.
At 7:30pm we collected wood for the campfire. It took about forty-five minutes to collect enough wood. At 8:30pm No.1 visited all the other troops that were camping near us. When everyone turned up Bosun lit the fire and the fun started. The campfire was a lot of fun because there was singing out loud and some funny sketches. The campfire lasted about two hours. When we finished we went back to the hut and had supper, which was baked potatoes and soup. After supper we went to bed.
Tuesday 30th July. The programme began with rise, wash and breakfast at 7:30am, flagbreak and inspection at 9:30am, and a note at 10:00am saying, "No way, get out of that".
